One man, a guitar and a Tascam DP01-FX

Idiosyncratic, a bit acoustic, a bit electric, Blake’s music is distilled from a wealth of nfluences. Described by one reviewer as "fruit salad for the soul", Blake's sound contains an exotic mix of flavours as he combines elements of sweet jangly pop, sweaty Britrock, glam, electronica, folk and blues, and "wraps your ears into a toasty duvet of good vibes."

WHO IS BLAKE?

Blake recorded his first album, 'Solomon's Tump' in 2003, three years before those catalogue model choristers nicked his name. (There's 4 of them anyway - what's going on?) In 2004 he formed retro-rock band Karmatruffle with his mates Magda McCaffrey, Paul Kench and Jamie Jordan. The band were signed to London based record label Ectomusic in 2005 and achieved success with their first single, 'She's Not All That'.  After the release of Karmatruffle's debut album 'What You Do Comes Back To You', Blake embarked on a solo career in order to embrace a more eclectic range of songwriting styles. A multi-instrumentalist, Blake records at his home studio playing all the parts himself. He has just put the finishing touches to his fifth album in less than two years, 'Antheology'. When he's not pretending to be a pop star himself, he pretends to be John Lennon in The Bargain Beatles.

is he any good?
